FixItASAP Terms and Conditions

Version 5.0-2026-09-20 · Effective 2026-09-20

FixItASAP is a bridge between requestors and independent contractors. License fields are optional, and a profile or match is not an endorsement or proof of qualifications. Both parties must independently vet each other before meeting, hiring, paying, granting property access, or starting any work. Contractors must hold every license, registration, permit, and insurance coverage legally required for the particular work and location, even if they leave the license fields blank.

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms govern your use of the FixItASAP connection platform. A requestor is a person requesting services, whether an owner, tenant, business, or authorized representative. A contractor or pro is an independent service provider. You must be at least 18, provide accurate information, control the phone number used for your account, and have authority to act for any business or property owner you represent. By checking the acceptance box, you agree to these Terms for the role or roles shown. A contractor account can also act as a requestor; the relevant obligations apply each time.

2. FixItASAP's limited role

FixItASAP provides technology to post requests, display profiles, send offers, and connect users. FixItASAP does not perform, employ, direct, supervise, inspect, or guarantee the contracted work and is not a party to your service agreement. Contractors set their own prices, methods, scope, and availability and are responsible for their personnel, tools, taxes, and business obligations. A match, ranking, review, offer, acceptance, or connection does not certify a person, establish a hiring relationship with FixItASAP, or guarantee availability, payment, quality, safety, or a result. The parties decide whether to proceed after conducting their own checks.

3. Optional license fields; legal requirements still apply

License numbers and issuing-authority details are optional profile fields for every trade. You may create a profile without entering them. An omitted number means only that license information was not provided; it does not mean a license is unnecessary or that the contractor has no license. Entering a number does not prove that it belongs to the person using the account or authorizes the requested work.

Contractors must determine and comply with every applicable federal, state, county, and city requirement, maintain all required licenses, registrations, permits, and insurance, and decline work they are not legally authorized or qualified to perform. This applies to handyman work as well as other trades. A Florida credential does not establish authority to work in New York, and local or specialty credentials may have geographic or scope restrictions. Leaving a field blank never waives a legal requirement.

Profile information, experience, and insurance statements are supplied by users. FixItASAP does not conduct background checks or certify either party. Where a Florida public-record lookup is displayed, it is only a match to a downloaded record at the stated time. It may be incomplete or outdated and does not verify identity, ownership of the credential, local authorization, insurance, or fitness for your job. New York and other local credentials must be checked with the issuing authority. Both parties must obtain and independently confirm current evidence.

4. Both parties must vet each other before proceeding

Each party is responsible for independently checking the other before meeting in person, hiring, sending payment, sharing access codes, allowing property access, or starting work. Do not rely solely on a FixItASAP profile, review, public-record match, or the other party's statements. Ask questions, request evidence, contact the relevant authorities or insurer, and stop if information cannot be confirmed.

Requestors must check the contractor's identity, business, qualifications, references, applicable licenses and registrations, current insurance, authority for the specific job and location, and proposed written scope and pricing. Confirm who will attend the property, the permit requirements, payment schedule, and any cancellation or warranty terms.

Contractors must check the requestor's identity, authority to request the work or grant property access, the actual job and site conditions, safety and access arrangements, agreed scope, and payment arrangements. Do not enter property or begin work without appropriate permission and agreement. Requestors must disclose known hazards and material facts about the request.

Connecting only permits the parties to communicate. The app's response and approval timers are for introductions, not a deadline to complete due diligence or a requirement to hire. Neither party must proceed with a meeting or job merely because an offer was accepted or a connection approved.

5. Service agreements, fees, and disputes between users

Agree directly in writing on the work, price, estimate or diagnostic fee, materials, timing, permits, change orders, payment, cancellations, and warranties before work begins. The current app does not collect job payments, hold funds in escrow, or provide a payment or workmanship guarantee. Any paid diagnostic fee is set by the contractor and must be agreed with the requestor. An in-app connection or 'done' status does not replace a required contract, inspection, permit, invoice, or acceptance of work. Service disputes and payment issues are between the parties, subject to their agreements and applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits nonwaivable consumer rights or the right to report concerns to authorities.

6. Safe and lawful use

Do not impersonate others, use another person's credentials, post false reviews or misleading information, harass or unlawfully discriminate, request illegal work, or misuse another user's contact information. Keep your account secure and use shared information only for the relevant request. FixItASAP may restrict accounts or content for misuse or suspected violations. FixItASAP is not an emergency service and does not monitor requests for emergencies. For immediate danger, call 911 or the appropriate emergency service directly.

7. Information shared through the app

FixItASAP stores account details, contractor profiles, requests, uploaded media, job history, reviews, communication logs, and records of terms acceptance to operate the platform. Job titles, descriptions, city/locality, uploaded photos or video, and the requestor's first name are shared with contractors who receive an offer. Contractor profiles and reviews are shared with requestors. The dedicated street field and phone numbers are shared after the requestor approves the connection. Do not put private addresses, access codes, identification documents, financial details, or other sensitive information into descriptions or media. Media links are accessible to people who possess the link, so do not upload confidential material. Operating providers such as hosting and SMS services process relevant information to supply the service. This section describes the current connection flow and does not replace a separate privacy notice.

8. Text messages

Requesting a sign-in code authorizes that sign-in text. Job-offer and job-status texts require your separate, optional consent during signup or in Text alerts settings. You may use the website without job texts. Turning off job texts in the website does not block separately requested sign-in codes. Replying STOP to the sender can block sign-in texts as well; text START to the same sender to restore provider delivery. Website preferences do not override a provider opt-out. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchasing services from a contractor. Stopping texts may prevent receipt of time-sensitive offers or status updates; the app remains the source for job status. Text delivery and contractor availability are not guaranteed.

9. Risks, warranties, and responsibility

Interactions with other users and work at a property can involve risks, including misrepresentation, nonpayment, poor workmanship, injury, and property damage. Each party is responsible for their own decisions, conduct, verification, and agreements. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FixItASAP supplies its connection service as available without warranties of uninterrupted service or any guarantee about another user or their work, and is not responsible for losses caused by another user's acts, omissions, or breach of a service agreement.

These provisions do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, waive nonwaivable statutory rights, or excuse FixItASAP's own fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or other liability that applicable law does not permit it to disclaim. These Terms do not create insurance, a guarantee fund, or a promise of reimbursement. Each party remains responsible to the extent provided by applicable law.

10. Changes and continued access

The full Terms are available through the app's Terms link. FixItASAP records the accepted version, document fingerprint, role, acceptance step, and server timestamp. Material changes require acceptance of the new version before further marketplace activity. If you do not agree, do not create an account or begin new activity. Obligations relating to existing work remain subject to the parties' agreements and applicable law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

11. Operator, privacy, and support

The platform operates under the business name FixItASAP. Contact support@fixuber.com for account help, text-message support, privacy requests, or concerns about platform misuse. The Privacy Notice at /privacy.html explains how the website handles information; support information is available at /support.html. Do not send verification codes, financial details, or identity documents by email.
